Hey everybody! Sorry I haven't posted in a while, I've been really busy with Project Legacy and school work. Project Legacy is going alright, but recently I realized that it's just too much work to make it. We finished four episodes and I might try to get through episode 6 before I shut down the project. I'm sorry to those who really like the show, but it was just too much of a hassle to try to get people to record their lines (and do them well). Recording the video was easy but in retrospect I simply put too many characters in to keep track of. I realized that all the characters were just dragging down the plot and plus having to write all the subplots were killer. Duke and Leo's plan, Gold's scheme to take over the Elite Council (you don't see them till episode 5), Karrde trying to return to Battle Creek (which he never was going to get back too), The renegades plans for the future and their ridiculous Idol (the plasma sword, episode 6 or 7). Sacrifice was just a mess, in scripting, and acting. He had no background, he just did things because I wanted him to. He no reasons for anything and as the story progressed it became obvious to me. I even wrote in a scene where Krystal asked him why he did what he did and I nearly wrote myself into a corner. The acting reflected the mess when Alex (the guy playing him) for some reason was unable to record the lines so I ended up doing the voice in his place. It's ridiculous, for episode 6 I'll probably be doing 7 characters out of the 10.

But the hardest part by far is just working with other people. I wrote the scripts and did the character acting a certain way which sounded good in my head but when other people tried to put their voices to the characters they came out different and didn't match. It created extra work for me just trying to get it to fit. I guess that's the reason I do most of the voices, I'm the only one who can do them the way I want them done. Out of the whole cast only three or four people were actually good at their characters: Me (as Duke Robear, True, False, Sacrifice, Gold, Cobalt, White, Sosuke, and Sage) Rachel (as Krystal) Matt to an extent (as Boneless) and the last one WAS Kevin (as Leo). He did his part exactly how I wanted them done (mostly because I wrote Leo's lines as if it was actually Kevin) But that all changed when we recorded one of the last episodes.

There we were, at Matt's apartment, all hooked up when I realized that to do a certain scene I would need another X-box. This doesn't happen often, but we it does we call on Kevin to lend or bring his X-box over. We asked him nicely to come over to which he declined. Then we asked him if he could just lend it to us for the day (We didn't think he would, but we had to try at least) Instead of nicely declining he got an attitude. He bashed us and the project calling it "stupid" and things like that. And I was thinking What Nerve!? I mean, if he had nicely said something to the effect of "Sorry guys, I can't do it today." "I'm not feeling well." or "No thanks guys" It would have been fine! We would have said "that's too bad, but oh well, we'll make do." But No! He had to trash our project. I was so outraged that I up and cut him out of the show. From that day forward Leo has been played by my next door neighbor Ryan who doesn't really fit with the part. He's kinda wooden and rushed into his lines without reading over them first. I'll tell you, if I could do Leo's part, I would because I know exactly how I want it to be done.
Oops, I got off topic. What I really came here to says was that the scraping of Halo 2 Project Legacy is not the end of the Partners In Crime production team. I've already began brainstorming a new series to begin production when we get back to school next year. It's going to be called "Operation Legacy" (still thinking about the name) and it will be set in one of the new maps coming out in June http://www.xbox.com/en-US/news/2005/0325-%20halo2mappack.htm I don't know what map as only four of them have been announced. If none of the other five maps fit the bill I will go with the map called Containment.

Operation Legacy is the story of three rookie Spartans stationed on a far away planet assigned to guard a base from Three Elites who take up residence in the opposing base at the other side of the map. This Red Vs. Blue style story will be very comedic and full of nonsensical ideas and dialogue. Here's a rundown of the main characters (they should sound familiar).
Duke Robear: Sniper and Melee proficiency, Duke's sights are aimed high but his logic and hyperactivity are through the roof. He constantly breaks out with the most random comments and can pay attention to any one thing for more than fifteen minutes.
Karrde: Unknown skills (for now). Karrde is as rookie as they come, he often questions his situation and the other around him. He's a very sarcastic character who would gladly jump into any fight as long as it got him away from his deranged comrades.
Boneless: A loner with a shot gun, Boneless is trying his best to fit in with normal people. Unfortunately everyone around him are anything but normal.

Will the three spartans be able to defend the outpost from the Covenant? Or will they drive each other insane before the first week? Look forward to "Operation Legacy" coming around fall.

Well, that's all I really wanted to tell you. I'll probably post some stuff about the Elites in a later post. I plan on telling this story from both sides so LOOK FORWARD TO IT! Please!??

I know that there was no way you could have done the lines from where ever you went (Scotland) but I needed the lines done so I made a decision just to finish. I think it turned out alright without you. Whatever we end up doing, just remember that you were one of the best actors in the cast.
Yea, Amber, I definately want to visit you this summer. And as for Ian coming back, YAY!!! I'm soo happy, thanks for telling me.
